Class Descriptions
Advanced Abs/Back Class
This 45-minute class is designed for individuals with a desire to maintain healthy back and core musculature. The class is a progression of the beginning back class, involving advanced techniques to increase your core stability.
Advanced Balance Class
This 45-minute class will incorporate Physioballs, Bosu Balls, and other balance equipment (Attending Mondays Beginning Balance and Fridays Tai-Chi is recommended prior to attending this class).
Beginning Balance Class
This 45-minute class is designed to improve balance, mobility, gait training, and lower extremity strength. This class incorporates seated ball work, stretching, and standing balance exercises (We recommend becoming proficient in this class before attempting the Advanced Balance Class).
Beginning Pilates Mat Class
This 30-minute class is designed to introduce Pilates techniques in preparation for the Pilates Mat Class and/or Advanced Abs. Back Class.
Body Conditioning
This 60-minute intermediate class combines cardiovascular exercise with strength training. Steps, Bosu, stability balls, free weights, bands, etc. are used to give you a great workout in this fun and challenging class.
Body Sculpt
This 45-minute class is designed for all levels to strengthen and tone the entire body. The use of balls, free weights, thera-tubing, and floor work makes for a fun and challenging class.
Cardio Sculpt
This 60-minute aerobics class provides high energy cardiovascular work incorporating Bosu, step, and aerobic movement, as well as free weights, theratubing, and stability balls for total body toning.
Functional Strengthening
This 60-minute beginners' class focuses on flexibility for posture, resistive exercises, and weight bearing exercises to strengthen the upper and lower body muscle groups. It is a great class to help prepare you for the activities of daily living.
Low Impact Aerobic Dance
This 45-minute class is set to energizing music and challenges you aerobically while you enjoy the easy-to-follow dance steps.
Pilates Mat Class
This 45-minute class is designed to tighten abdominals, improve posture, and strengthen the body with basic Pilates mat exercises.
Stability Ball & Stretch Class
This 60-minute class uses exercise balls and foam rolls and focuses on stretching and strengthening muscles.
Tai-Chi
This 45-minute class is designed to improve balance, mobility, and flexibility through gentle movements. Also helps with stress reduction and to lower blood pressure.
Yoga
This 90-minute class gives you the opportunity to stretch the body, relax the mind, and quiet the self. All fitness levels are welcome.
Zumba
This 45 minute class combines Latin and International Music with a fun and effective work out system.
Zumba Toning
This 45-minute specialty course is designed to blend body-sculpting techniques and specific Zumba moves into one calorie-burning, strength-training class. You will learn how to use the toning sticks to enhance rhythm, build strength and tone all the target zones.
Circuit Training
This 30-minute class is geared towards weight loss by combining total body strengthening with functional cardiovascular exercises.
Core Blast & Foam Roll Recovery
This 30-minute class will entail 15-20 minutes of advanced level Core exercises, utilizing Bosu Balls, Physioballs, and/or Dumbbells with mat work to target the abdominal and back muscles, immediately followed by 10-15minutes of recovery and soft tissue work using the Foam Rollers. Since this is an advanced level class, attendance in one of our Pilates, Advanced Abs, or Floor,Core and More is recommended prior to attempting this class, especially if you have any issues with your lower back.
Core Circuit Class
This 30-minute class is run like our typical circuit class with more emphasis on abdominal work than cardiovascular exercises.
Core, Floor, and More
This 45-minute class focuses on the core musculature, incorporating mat work, exercise balls, and Pilates techniques. This class functions as an intermediate level class in our abs/back series.
Core Stability Ball Class
This 30-minute class uses exercise balls for core strengthening.
Dance Fusion
This 45-minute class blends all forms of dance (salsa, belly dance, ballroom, jazz rock and roll, among others) in an aerobic form that makes exercising and experience of a lifetime.
Early Morning Stretch
This 30-minute class includes active isolated stretching to prepare you for your day.
