Frying Pan Tuna Pizza
Costco sells a great flatbread or you can purchase whole wheat tortillas, which come in handy for quick meals that fit our goal of adequate protein/carb and low fat. Here is a basic recipe that you can modify with different protein sources. You can have a huge variety of pizzas by simply changing the ingredients. Use shrimp, salmon, chicken, ground beef etc.
Ingredients
- One whole-wheat tortilla
- ¼ cup low-fat pizza sauce
- 1 portion tuna flaked
- ¼ red bell pepper, sliced
- ¼ yellow bell pepper, sliced
- Four thin slices of tomato
- ¼ cup reduced-fat mozarella shredded
Preparation
- Preheat large frying pan
- Spoon pizza sauce evenly over the tortilla
- Top with tuna, bell peppers, mozzarella cheese and tomatoes
- Place the tortilla in the frying pan and cover
- Wait for about 3 minutes or until the cheese is melted
- Slice, serve and enjoy!
